The Health Care Mandate Was In Fact a Newer Form of Tax
The recent health care reform bill of Pres. Obama states that American citizens should acquire the new health care insurance to get better health benefits and improve the health system of the nation. Everyone is mandated to oblige in this new bill or suffer stiff penalties. We all do remember that the democrats claimed that this new bill will never require everyone to purchase insurance even though it is quite obvious already on the provisions of the bill.
Another intriguing fact is that this bill seems to resemble a newer form of tax. Though the democrats have continuously denied this, the Obama administration has recently labeled this move as an exercise of the government’s power to implement and collect taxes. Slowly, we are now getting the big picture and the real motif behind this very controversial health care bill. The bill was in fact intended to be another form of tax is it has mandated all the constituents of the nation to oblige.
I am very saddened to have heard this revealing news. The government, which is the one responsible in promoting the welfare and wellness of its citizens, is in fact creating more burdens to society. This unconstitutionally mandated bill is in fact costing the taxpayers more money and adding up to their tax expenses. Companies and business firms are already struggling to cope up with the expenses of their operations. With additional costs brought by this bill, do you think they will still be able to survive the hardships of recent time?
It may be the right time to stand up and tell your politicians to make the right decisions as this will influence your vote come election time. The American people have seen enough of the ill-managed, poorly-decided and unjust implementation of government bills and projects. Change is what we need and the perfect time is during the upcoming elections. We should fight for the sake of the founders of the nation and for the citizens of the next generation

Regarding the Afghan War and the Proposed Expiration of Tax Cuts
Did you know that the ever popular Afghanistan war has already existed for 9 years now? The war began on October 7, 2001 with the primary goal of disrupting the movements of terrorist organizations and eliminating them in the process. On June 7, 2010, the war was officially declared the longest war in the history of the United States of America. And now, the war is still on a standstill with the number of US serviceman growing day by day. How many more US troops will lose their lives in foreign soil fighting for a war that is really full of uncertainties?
A popular and much debated issue of this controversial war is about the deployment of a newer batch of troops to bolster the already high number of troops stationed there. The Congress and the White House has continuously argued and debated about the exact number of troops to be deployed on the battlefield. Sending another set of troops would mean more cost to the taxpayers and also an increase in the possibility of more American casualties.
Amazingly, a Republican and renowned critic of President Obama, Rand Paul came in defense of the president when criticized about the decision of sending in more troops to the war. He said that Congress should focus more on other important functions and leave the decisions regarding the war to the White House. We should face the fact that the US is slowly but surely losing the war effort. Sending in a ton of fresh troops without gaining any significant result is just a huge waste of taxpayer’s money. There are still more internal problems that the US government should be solving rather than spend more on a war that is just going out of its way.
He also emphasized that Democrats believe that the government is key in creating jobs and saving the economy. In contrary to the belief of democrats, Republicans believe that the private sector, entrepreneurs or the business institutions are the ones who create jobs and would greatly help in economic recovery. With the impending expiration of tax cuts to be imposed by the government, he believes that this would only spell disaster. Tax cuts to be expired would mean larger taxes to business institutions where they try to cut cost by removing a fraction of their workforce. This translates into unemployment or underemployment which is very bad for the economy.
From a Republican’s point of view, businesses are very much important in salvaging what is left of the economy. Giving enough benefits and incentives to institutions would ensure their capacity to acquire manpower and provide jobs to Americans. In this time of crisis, the business sector is critical and should act as the primary mover towards economic recovery.

National Broadband Public Safety Network: More and More Taxes To Come
Recently, President Obama through the initiative of Federal Communications Commission proposed the national broadband network. It will establish a national public safety wireless broadband network which aims to protect and maintain public safety through the use of broadband technology. Along with this, newer taxes and fees shall be imposed. Digital goods and services shall be accompanied with newer taxes. This will certainly add up to the burden of the taxpayers but the President insists otherwise. Another fact is that it will be implemented at a national level.
At the height of the global financial crisis, taxpayers who are already suffering financially are also forced to accept the fact of raising more taxes. Yes, you heard me right. Raising taxes for people who are already suffering doesn’t really make sense. The public safety network is estimated to cost at a whooping $12 to $16 billion of taxpayer’s money.
An employee of FCC claims that this network is equally crucial and important to all the citizens it covers. The 9/11 attack is a similar situation where fast and efficient communication can save more lives. The network will be built over a span of 10 years with the fees generated over the next few years. It will put into use newer technologies such as the broadband network in doing effective transmission.
A concerned citizen coming from geek.com indicated that the network is not as ideal as it should be because of it being so expensive and it puts burden on a country that is already suffering from huge financial debt. As we all know, America is hit hard by the recession and more companies are declaring bankruptcy. More and more professionals are losing their jobs and losing their source of income.
Projects like this should be evaluated carefully and concisely to determine if it is really feasible or not. Taxpayers are already paying for huge taxes that aren’t so reasonable at all. We do hope that the government will finally consider undergoing a thorough research and investigation before implementing such crazy and expensive projects.
