The Health Care Mandate Was In Fact a Newer Form of Tax

With the current recession that has plagued the American nation, there have been many issues that have surfaced and are now hunting the US government. Important issues such as the unreasonable war against other nations, the continuous rise of the budget deficit and the issue of overtaxing have all reached the minds of the ordinary American citizen. Paying for huge and heavy taxes is such a headache to most people, isn’t it? But knowing that the government is spending it on projects and earmarks that are not really benefiting the taxpayers is much worst.

The recent health care reform bill of Pres. Obama states that American citizens should acquire the new health care insurance to get better health benefits and improve the health system of the nation. Everyone is mandated to oblige in this new bill or suffer stiff penalties. We all do remember that the democrats claimed that this new bill will never require everyone to purchase insurance even though it is quite obvious already on the provisions of the bill.

Another intriguing fact is that this bill seems to resemble a newer form of tax. Though the democrats have continuously denied this, the Obama administration has recently labeled this move as an exercise of the government’s power to implement and collect taxes. Slowly, we are now getting the big picture and the real motif behind this very controversial health care bill. The bill was in fact intended to be another form of tax is it has mandated all the constituents of the nation to oblige.

I am very saddened to have heard this revealing news. The government, which is the one responsible in promoting the welfare and wellness of its citizens, is in fact creating more burdens to society. This unconstitutionally mandated bill is in fact costing the taxpayers more money and adding up to their tax expenses. Companies and business firms are already struggling to cope up with the expenses of their operations. With additional costs brought by this bill, do you think they will still be able to survive the hardships of recent time?

It may be the right time to stand up and tell your politicians to make the right decisions as this will influence your vote come election time. The American people have seen enough of the ill-managed, poorly-decided and unjust implementation of government bills and projects. Change is what we need and the perfect time is during the upcoming elections. We should fight for the sake of the founders of the nation and for the citizens of the next generation
