Tea Party Movement: The Voice of America

With the establishment and implementation of several unfavorable federal laws, a lot of Americans have been active in challenging the usefulness and appropriateness of these laws. One of the major issues is about taxes. A lot of these laws impose taxes that just simply unjust and unreasonable. Because of this, the tea party movement was born and raised through the initiative of the American people themselves.

The tea party movement was a movement composed of individuals who greatly opposed several government laws and those that think that their country is headed on the wrong track. They were individuals who organized coordinated protests whether locally or nationally. Several federal laws accompanied with large budget deficits were implemented and proposed by past governments that triggered a massive outpour of protests. One such law is the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 which aims to use taxpayer’s money to fund and rescue ailing financial institutions which could also create an impact unto the nation’s economy.

Another controversial issue is the recent health care reform bill which increases the cost of each individual’s health care plan. Companies claim that they will lose competitiveness as they will be spending a huge amount of money for the health care plan of their employees. Massive protests have been done to shout the voice of the people.

Currently, it is quite impossible to estimate how big this movement is because of the fact that it is not a structured organization. The only thing that is certain is that it comprises of over a million people. A recent survey suggested that this movement may well be the biggest or largest political organization in the United States of America.

The tea party movement is a very influential movement and soon will dictate the political future of the USA. It will remain and continue to criticize and question any unfavorable actions that the US government is doing. With massive support from voters, this movement will continue to stride for a better and just government. By using the voice of the American people, they will someday dream of a productive and very livable America.
